More Than Just A Driving School

Take a moment, close your eyes, and think of the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the words "driver's ed." Perhaps you've already been through a program, or you've seen it in movies or on TV, or maybe your friends have been through it. There's a lot of stereotypes of driving schools and driving instructors being boring, droning on and on about tires, emergency brakes, 10 & 2...

Take everything you think you know about the industry, and forget it. None of that applies here. We're The Next Street, The Best Driving School in Connecticut. That's a title we're proud of, and something that we don't take lightly. We graduate 10,000 more students through our programs each year than any other school in the state, and we're able to do that because we have the best team out there. From our veteran Master Instructors, to our dedicated Customer Happiness Representatives, to our newest trainees, each member of our team is an outstanding individual in their own right and embraces our core values both personally and professionally.

Our Core Values

Remarkable Individual Performance

We endorse critical thinking as opposed to execution of commands. We believe that no personal or professional growth is entitled, but instead is earned and rewarded through consistent Remarkable Individual Performance.

Just Be Nice

Be a good co-worker, be a good neighbor, be a good human. Strive to leave the world you go to bed to better off than that you woke up to. In order for us to achieve our goals, we need to be surrounded by a team of passionate and positive peers. We have one rule, Don't Be A Donkey.

Always Seek Knowledge

We want everyone to strive to be more valuable tomorrow than they are today. Seek training. Seek coaching. Read books. Help your peers and yourself constantly achieve new heights. Knowledge is power, and at The Next Street, it's our fuel.

It's these core values that have become the foundation of our culture, a culture that inspires growth, empowers us, and rewards hard-work. They aren't just words on a wall; they're brought to life every day by our team and have allowed us to set goals for our company that are big. So big, they're hairy.

Our Big, Hairy, Audacious Goal

Transform from a small Driving School to a global education brand most known throughout the World for delivering outstanding service in education.

A Big Hairy Audacious Goal, or BHAG, is a long-term goal. A goal that is out of reach, but not permanently. It might be seen externally as outrageous, but not so internally. It's something to work for, strive for, and keep growing towards. It takes time, often a lot of time, to realize but when it happens, it's a game changer. We've got a long road ahead of our BHAG but we've never been one to shy away from a challenge.

But, why?

Our BHAG truly is big, it's definitely hairy (metaphorically speaking), and it's certainly audacious. So why would we even attempt to take on something so monstrous? The answer lies in our core purpose:

Create endless opportunities to learn awesome new things.

That's what motivates us. Learning really is what keeps the mind young and fruitful, and in this world, there's never a shortage of things to learn or people to learn from.

Spend a minute with us and you'll quickly see that we're different. We've made a commitment to excellence, both to our employees and our customers. Of course we're going to teach you how to drive, but we'll make sure that it's a fun and worthwhile experience. After all, anyone can teach you to drive. No one can do it like us.
